Cross Country Schooling on the competition course will start on Sunday, Oct. 19, noon - 6pm, until Wednesday, Oct. 22, 10am - dusk . The cost will be $60. We will have elementary - intermediate levels.







Summer Eventing Camp

Camp Includes

Camp Schedule (subject to change)

July 14: Show Jumping with Sally Cousins.
Evening Dinner includes a talk with Sally Cousins.
July 15: Cross Country with Sally Cousins.
Evening Dinner includes a talk on saddle fitting by Tommy Smith.
July 16 & 17: Morning flatwork sessions with Mogie Bearden-Muller and Joyce D'Aquila. Focus on getting your horse to move forward from leg into hand.
Afternoon session applies the flatwork skills to a showjumping session geared toaward maintaining balance and rhythm to the jumps.
July 18: Morning "Fix a test" with Joyce D'Aquila
Afternoon session Sally returns for a cross country course walk in preparation for the weekend's Maryland Horse Trials. Please participate and learn from the coursewalk even if you are not competing.

Sally started riding at age 5 and moved up to Training level at the age of 12. She was competing at her first Advanced 3-Day at age 19. Competing and preparing for Badminton furthered her education. She has continued to bring along young horses and had success with many Advanced horses. Sally currently stands as #4 overall on the USEA leaderboard, and continues to be a popular and requested instructor and clinician. Mogie has been teaching for 24 years, having evented thru the 3* level. She has brought numerous students thru the the 4* level in eventing, coaching in Europe at the World cup in Malmo, Sweden, and 3day in Saumur, France . Along with riding at the upper levels, bringing along young prospects thru the lower level, she is a USEA ICP level III certified instructor, and an "r" licensed cross country course designer, working towards "R". Joyce has been an active student, competitor, trainer, instructor, and judge for well over 30 years, having worked extensively with such eventing greats as Bruce Davidson and Denny Emerson, and show world greats such as Joe Fargis, George Morris, and Michael Matz. She has brought several young horses from racing to upper level eventing, and was twice long-listed for USET competition. She teaches and trains from her base outside Middleburg, VA.
