We’re delighted to share that this year’s Area II Championship, taking place October 3–5, will include prize money for top-placing competitors — thanks to a generous donation from longtime Loch Moy Farm supporter – Witherspoon Analytics and Jim Newman!
Jim is a true champion of the sport. As a member of the USEA National Volunteer Committee, Vice Chairman of Area II, and President of Witherspoon Analytics, he brings both passion and leadership to everything he does. Jim was named National USEA Volunteer of the Year in 2022 and proudly holds a Silver Medal in the USEA Medal Program. Beyond his accolades, he dedicates countless hours to improving volunteer education and experience across Area II.

We’re also lucky to have Jim serve on the Maryland International Equestrian Foundation (MIEF) Board, where his commitment to the sport shines even brighter. As Carolyn Mackintosh puts it: “It’s people like Jim that truly raise up the sport of eventing. We’re fortunate to have someone like him supporting the Maryland Horse Trials and USEA.”
Please join us in thanking Witherspoon Analytics for supporting our equestrian community year after year. Shown here is Jim serving as Starter at the Start Box with Caroline Pamukcu.
