The Maryland International CCI Planning Committee is delighted to welcome international course designer Andrew Heffernan as Cross Country Course Designer for the Maryland International CCI and HT + Young Rider Championships on June 27-29.
Heffernan will also design the tracks for the two additional USEA recognized horse trials at Loch Moy Farm. The additional dates are the Maryland Horse Trials II on July 12-13 and the Maryland Horse Trials III + Area II Championships on October 3-5.
Andrew is widely regarded as one of the most promising up and coming course designers. He can draw on his extensive experience as a competitor at the CCI5* level, including Badminton, Burghley and Luhmühlen. His keen eye for detail allows him to provide a fresh perspective to designing challenging and innovative courses.
His designs effectively combine technicality, athleticism, and artistic elements to provide a thrilling and memorable experience for competitors and spectators alike. He has designed up to CCI4* level in the UK, including being the current designer for the prestigious Bramham Park Horse Trials.
